OK, your cat looks scared of that laundry pile! Maybe you should only let yourself watch a certain TV show if you are folding laundry while you watch...some kind of guilty pleasure show. Then you can justify the TV watching as keeping your mind occupied while you fold. Or you could just forgo folding things like socks and undies and just cram those into your dresser as is.

Yeah, so for most of our relationship, I've done the washing and Alicia has done the folding. Now that we have a pool, I've traded laundry for pool maintenance in the chore stack. The one consequence of this is that it appears that Alicia and I have different laundry priorities: if I only have time for one load, I'll do black...it gets a good variety of stuff through, across multiple clothing groups (socks, underwear, shirts, pants). However, Alicia appears to prefer pretty colors, which has left me sans socks on a number of occasions.

You speak the language of my tribe. We, however, use the guest bed for the clean laundry.

The night before the cleaners come, we either put away the clothes properly, or pour them back into an empty laundry basket. If there are no empty laundry baskets, we will make them empty by suddenly washing some.

somebody needs to invent a new drawer and closet system that would make it easier to get the clothes from dryer to being put a way. Like those banks that sort your change when you drop them into the slot - a bureau that automatically deposits clothes in the right drawer.
